Dr. Anil Bhoraskar, MBBS, MD (Medicine), is a highly respected Diabetologist in Mumbai and an expert in Diabetology and Endocrinology with over 46 years of medical experience. A graduate of Grant Medical College, Mumbai, he has served in teaching roles at leading institutions such as Grant Medical College and the All India Institute of Diabetes.
He is a Fellow of the College of Physicians of India, a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London — reflecting his deep commitment to excellence in clinical care and medical education.
Dr. Bhoraskar has extensive experience in managing Diabetes in complex surgical scenarios, contributing to the comprehensive care of patients. His contributions to the field of Diabetology are evident through numerous publications in national and international journals, as well as presentations at conferences and scientific forums. Dr. Bhoraskar has received several awards, including lifetime achievement awards and orations, for his outstanding work and community service.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Bhoraskar has special interests in diet and nutritional counselling, as well as humour therapy as a part of chronic disease management. He actively contributes to the Diabetic Association of India as the Scientific Secretary and has served as the Chair of the South East Asia Region for the International Diabetes Federation (IDF)
Dr. Bhoraskar is a Course Director for the IDF Centre of Education and Excellence in Mumbai, further showcasing his dedication to advancing education in Diabetology. He also serves on advisory boards for reputed pharmaceutical companies.
