How to Prepare for this Diagnostic & Imaging Procedure
We recommend patients make an appointment. We also take walk-in patients, depending on the machine availability and urgency of the test. There is no fasting required. Patients should continue medicines as prescribed by their doctor.
Inform the front desk staff seated on the ground floor and visit the ECHO department for the test. It is important to carry previous medical reports and a doctor’s prescription.
The patient will be guided to lie down on the examination bed, and the Echocardiogram is done by placing a probe over the chest to take the heart images. The test typically takes about 20 minutes to complete. Once the test is done, the provisional report is given immediately. The printed report on CD is usually made available the next day.
