ADMISSION PROCESS

Registration

If you are visiting Asian Heart hospital for the first time, you need to register. You will be issued an AH number, which should be quoted every time you come to the hospital for easy and effective trace ability of your previous medical records.

Booking

  • The booking can be done either by your consultant or by you with a booking slip from the admitting consultant.
  • Even after the booking / reservation deposit is paid, it is mandatory to pay the procedure deposit, prior to the procedure or at the time of admission.

Cancellation

Booking would stand cancelled in case the requisite amount as explained above is not paid. In case the cancellation is done by the patient:

  • No refund if cancellation is within 24 hours of procedure.
  • 50 %* refund if cancelled within 1-7 days prior to procedure.
  • Full refund if cancelled more than 7 days before procedure.

Payment

Payment can be made in cash / demand draft / pay order. Pay order/ demand draft should be drawn in favour of 'Asian Heart Institute & Research Centre Pvt. Ltd'. Management at its discretion can accept credit cards, but the applicable convenience charge will be borne by the patient. The payment for NRI patients / patients of foreign origin shall be accepted only in USD / EURO / POUND. Payment in foreign currency does not attract any surcharge.

Kindly note: Patients who are insured or have their company pay for their medical expenses (corporate patients) are requested to clarify all details before admission with their your respective insurance agent/ company. Admission Rules

  • Planned admissions are made by prior appointment and booking only.
  • Except special situations, bed charges are inclusive of meals, which are for the PATIENT ONLY.

Emergency Admission

In an emergency you can get admitted to the hospital at any time.

In case of walk in/ emergency admission, the admission to the class desired, is subject to the availability of room / bed.

Emergency Procedures

Emergency charges at 25%* of the routine charges would be levied in following cases

  • When the procedure is done in an Emergency, hospital holidays or if it as an unscheduled procedure for that day.
  • For non-cardiac procedures scheduled after 4.00 pm.
  • For cardiac surgeries and CATH lab procedures scheduled after 7.00 pm.

AII direct admissions to the ICU, scheduled or unscheduled, will be in the deluxe class or above only.

Please follow all the instructions given by your consultant.

Personal Belongings

Patients are requested to deposit all their valuable personal belongings in the safe deposit locker available at the security gate. Relatives who will accompany the patient are kindly requested to restrict the belongings that they carry. AHI is not responsible for any loss or theft.

You Should Not Carry

  • Any valuable ornaments.
  • Any eatables and utensils.
  • Any clothing / bedding.
  • Flowers.

Please Bring The Following

  • AII your previous medical records.
  • Only angiography patients can come to the hospital with their previous prescribed medications.
  • Your booking slip.
  • The required deposit amount.

What Happens At The Admission Counter

When you come for the admission you will be either sent to the bed allotted to you or to the pathology department if certain tests need to be carried out. One relative will accompany you to the ward and another relative will wait at the admission counter to complete the admission formalities. Admission formalities for Deluxe and Suite class are done in the room.
